In Year One, we have been exploring colour, pattern and texture through a range of exciting art activities using chalks and oil pastels. The children have loved experimenting with different techniques, blending colours and creating vibrant, eye-catching spiral artwork inspired by the world around them. We have also been busy creating our very first sketchbooks, learning how artists use them to practise ideas, develop new skills and record their creative journeys. It has been wonderful to see the children's confidence grow as they explore, experiment and express their own unique ideas. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, imagination and creativity they have shown throughout this unit.
