A Warm Welcome to Prospective Parents

We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child and thank you for taking the time to find out more about us.

As many of you may be aware, we have experienced significant complications with our school building and have been required to undertake an emergency relocation for the Autumn Term. While the situation has presented challenges, our commitment to providing an exceptional education and nurturing environment for our children remains as strong as ever..

We are delighted to invite prospective families to our Reception Open Evening at Horsforth School on Wednesday 18th Novemeber at 6pm. While our Featherbank building is not currently being used temporarily, Featherbank Primary School remains a thriving and valued part of the community. Working closely with our partner schools, we continue to provide high-quality education, nurture strong relationships, and ensure our children and families flourish. Come along to meet the team, learn about our exciting Reception provision, and discover why Featherbank continues to go from strength to strength. We look forward to welcoming you!

Please contact the school office if you would like to book a place as spaces are limited. 

When our building reopens, we will arrange parent tours so that you can see Featherbank in action. We recognise how important it is to experience a school firsthand when making such an important decision for your child.

The Local Authority are responsible for the admissions process for our school.  Please see the link below to the guidance and online application forms.

Please be aware of the following:

1. use all 5 preferences, using only use 1 or 2 preferences decreases the chances of being offered a place at a preferred school.
2. any supplementary information needs to be provided by the closing date (this applies if a child is previously looked after, is seeking admission under exceptional needs or if a family wish to apply for their child to be admitted out of chronological age group)
3. use the child’s actual permanent address. Using that of a friend, relatives, childminder or renting a property to gain a school place are all considered fraud and places can be withdrawn.
