What is so special about our school parliament?

How does it work?
Each class from Year 1 to Year 6 votes for 4 members of parliament (one from each of the school house teams: Kingfishers, Robins, Owls & Eagles). Each member of parliament then votes for a leader of their house team. The leaders of the house teams campaign during election week to be voted as the school Prime Minister & Deputy Prime Minister. The Prime Minister & the Deputy Prime Minister allocate members of parliament to the following school committees: Eco Warriors; Health and Well-being (including the well being ambassadors); Curriculum; Resources.
Each committe is overseen by a member of staff and/or a school governor and meets once a half term. School parliament (overseen by the Headteacher meets termly.
